Less than a month after winning the NABF super welterweight title via stoppage of former champion Willie Lee, Vanes Martirosyan was back in the ring defending against former world champion Kassim Ouma in arguably Vanes’ toughest fight to date.  Ouma put the pressure on from the start, even scoring a flash knockdown of the defending champ in round 9, but young Martiroysan was simply a bit too quick and landed crisp punches throughout.  A very good solid action match which earns this our “Fight of the Month” and Martirosyan the “Champion of the Month” honors.  Scores were 97-92 and 97-93 twice.

Promoted by Top Rank at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, this was the main event on the new Fox Sports boxing series for 2010.
