LuisRose Weigh_InsLouis Rose (13-2-1, 5 KOs), made a successful defense of his NABF Junior middleweight title by defeating Andrew Hernandez (9-2-1, 1 KO) by TKO last night at the We-Ko-Pa Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. The event was presented by Roy Jones Jr. Boxing and Iron Boy Promotions.


After the close of their convention in Reno this past Saturday,the NABF has a new logo, a new slogan, a new president and new energy. The members left with a renewed enthusiasm for their work in boxing.

Friday morning’s opening ceremonies included a few words from former Dallas Cowboys player, Glen Carano, welcoming delegates to the El Dorado Hotel and Casino. By unanimous vote, Duane Ford was elected president. His speech was very motivational, challenging the members to always conduct their work with professionalism, dedication, and the highest ethics.

NABF-New-PresThe NABF convention opened this morning at the Eldorado Hotel in Reno, Nevada with excitement, happy faces, and a sense of friendship among the attendees. NABF vice president from Mexico, Mauricio Sulaiman brought a filmed message from his father, Jose, who regretted not being able to attend, but wished success to the federation and its members. The video also a slide show of former NABF champions including Muhammad Ali, Thomas Hearns, Terry Norris, Pernell Whitaker, and many others.
